What is sugaring?
Sugaring is a natural and gentle method of hair removal that uses a paste made from just 3 ingredients: Sugar, water and lemon. The paste is applied at body temperature, eliminating the risk of burns. It’s applied against the direction of hair growth to effectively wrap around the hairs and then flicked off in the direction of growth. This technique helps prevent breakage, leaving your skin smooth, hair-free, and irritation- free.

How can I ensure that my sensitive skin will not be irritated from sugaring?
Sugaring is an excellent option for sensitive skin. The paste is natural, non-toxic, and hypoallergenic making it suitable for most skin types, even those who cannot wax or shave. Because the sugar is removed in the direction of hair growth, it minimizes trauma and irritation. Additionally, the paste is water-soluble, so any residue can easily be rinsed away with warm water.

How do I prepare for a sugaring appointment?
To prepare for your sugaring appointment, exfoliate the area 48 hours prior to loosen any trapped hairs. On the day of your appointment, wear loose clothing and cotton underwear to minimize irritation afterward. If you currently shave, allow 14 to 21 days of hair growth for the best results. Avoid using heavy lotions, oils, makeup and deodorants on the treatment areas these can interfere with the sugaring process.
-
What is the aftercare for sugaring?
To keep your skin smooth and prevent ingrown hairs, exfoliate starting 3 days after your appointment and 2-3 times a week. For the first 24 hours post-sugaring, avoid touching the area with unwashed hands and steer clear of activities that could introduce bacteria, such as sexual activity, tanning, hot showers, exercise, tight clothing, and swimming in pools or open waters. Keep your skin moisturized daily or as needed to maintain hydration.
-
Can I get sugared if I'm pregnant?
Yes, sugaring is completely safe during pregnancy! However, keep in mind that pregnancy can make your skin more sensitive. If it is your first time having hair removed from the root, we recommend waiting until your second trimester for added comfort. When in doubt, consult with your OB to ensure you’re feeling confident and safe.
-
Can I get sugared on my menstrual cycle?
Yes, you can! For Brazilian, bikini and buttock services wearing a tampon is required during your appointment. Please note that your skin may feel more sensitive during this time. For your convenience, we provide fresh tampons and wipes to ensure your comfort and hygiene throughout the service.
-
How often should I get sugared?
We recommend scheduling your sugaring appointments every 4 to 6 weeks, unless otherwise discussed during your appointment.

What is included in the Signature Facial?
Each facial is customized to your skin’s unique needs and concerns. It begins with a double cleanse to remove impurities and prep the skin, followed by a skin analysis to assess your skin type and concerns. Exfoliation is then performed to slough off dead skin cells and promote renewal. A relaxing facial massage helps boost circulation and enhance product absorption, while extractions are done if needed to clear clogged pores. A targeted mask is applied based on your skin’s condition, and the treatment may also include high-frequency and/or LED light therapy for additional skin benefits. All products used are carefully selected to ensure the best results for your skin.
